How to get to Rancho Rustico?
As you exit the airport, take the 340 towards Malaga. Continue on M20 towards Seville. Turn onto A-357 towards Cartama, Exit 54 ¨Cartama, Estacion de Cartama.¨ At the fourth roundabout, take the exit marked Pizarra (A-7054) towards Aljaima. After about 5km turn right at the street that is marked, ACCESO BSGIBRALMORA Y BNCARTAMA. Follow for 2km until you see the small sign RR and take a right. We are at the top of the hill.
By train from Malaga airport:
Upon arrival at the airport, follow signs to Train. Get on the train direction Malaga and get off at the second stop, Malaga, Victoria-Kent. Change to the C-2 line direction Alora and get off at Aljaima station where we will be waiting to welcome you when given notice of your arrival!
Aljaima railway station, on the Renfe C-2 line, operates a regular direct service to Malaga City & Malaga Victoria Kent where you can pick up the C1 line, which in turn provides easy access to the Airport & well known Costa del Sol beach resorts of Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Fuengirola, etc.
How far away is the train station?
Aljaima railway station is just 3.7 km from Rancho Rustico.
Do you offer transportation to and from the airport?
Yes. Rancho Rustico offers an airport shuttle service for parties of 1-6. Prices start at €35 one way for up to four people, with an extra €10 charge for each additional passenger. Alternatively, if the shuttle is full, or unavailable, we can arrange a taxi for you @ €35 one way for up to four people. We can also arrange a small coach to pick up 20 guests to and from the airport for just 130 Euro one way. Reservations must be booked at least 24 hours prior to the departure of your flight. Please provide us with the names, flight numbers, flight arrival times, flight departure times and origin of the flights for all of your guests and we will provide you with the phone number of your driver so you can be in constant communication. For transportation to Malaga airport from Rancho Rustico, please provide us with the departure times for all of your guests.
Where do we meet our driver at Malaga Airport?
You will meet your taxi driver outside the arrival hall of Malaga Airport at the outdoor airport cafe called, Gambrinus. Gambrinus is located just outside the arrival hall. Once you exit the arrival hall, it will be 20 meters to the right.
Are there shops and restaurants nearby Rancho Rustico?
Rancho Rustico is located in a very natural, quiet, peaceful area in the heart of the Andalusian country side, and we are not in easy walking distance to shops, restaurants or bars. We do have an enormous number of good restaurants and bars in our local town of Cartama just 9km away, as well as a number of Supermarkets including Carrefour, Lidl and Mercadona.
Can you buy groceries, beer and wine for us and deliver them to our villa?
Yes. Groceries can purchased for you and delivered for:
Shops up to €50, the fee is €20
Shops up to €100, the fee is €40
Shops up to €200, the fee is €50
24-hour advance notice is required. Cash only.

How can I get a taxi to take me to the city of Malaga?

At Bodega Perez Hidalgo, we want to share our wine culture with you during your visit to Alora, Spain! You will start your tour in the vineyard with a little history about the winery and an insight into vine growing. We will talk about the different grape varieties on the estate & if near harvest time, you can actually compare & taste the grapes directly from the vine! You will learn more about the wine making process, from planting to harvest, then move on to the Barrel Hall, where the cedary-vanilla bouquet of the wines aging in French & American oak casks will transport you to another world.
At the end of your tour you´ll have the pleasure of tasting three of the estate´s premium wines in the Tasting Salon.

What is the bedroom breakdown for the villas?
Casa Alta (Villa 1) has Five Bedrooms:
1 triple room with 3 single beds.
1 triple room with 1 double and 1 single bed.
3 double rooms with double beds.
Plus an extra 6 guests in our three garden chalets. Each chalet has two single beds for 18 guests in total.
Casa Baja (Villa 2) has Four Bedrooms:
1 loft with 1 double bed and 1 single bed.
1 triple room with 1 double and 1 single bed.
1 double room with 1 double bed.
1 single room with 1 single bed.
Plus an extra 10 guests in our garden chalets, and 4 to 6 more guests in our two bell tents for 25 guests in total.
How many bathrooms does Casa Alta (Villa 1) have?
Three of the bedrooms are en suite and two bedrooms share one full bathroom + one extra WC room with hand basin. There is an additional WC/ Shower room adjacent to the main pool and BBQ area.
How many bathrooms does Casa Baja (Villa 2) have?
There is one full bathroom + one extra WC room with hand basin + one extra shower room with hand basin. There is an additional WC room with hand basin + two cold shower rooms with hand basin adjacent to the bar area and patio.
Are linens provided?
Yes, all sheets, towels, pillows and duvets are provided.
Is toilet paper provided?
Only an emergency amount.
Are cleaning supplies provided?

What bathroom facilities do bell tent/chalet guests use?
We have three WC/Shower rooms throughout the property, so tent/chalet guests can use any of these.
Are the two villa’s within the same grounds?
If we´ve rented both villas, are they within walking distance of each other?
Yes, the villas are about a 5-7 minute walk from each other.
If we´ve only rented one villa, is there privacy from the other?
Yes. The two villas can be rented out together, but they are independent of one another, so there is total privacy between them.

Is smoking allowed?
Yes. You may smoke in all areas of Rancho Rustico but NOT in the Villas.
Is the water ok to drink?
No, you should ensure you have plenty of bottled water for the duration of your stay.
Where do we put our rubbish?
In Casa Alta (Villa 1) there is a square metal case where you can deposit your rubbish.
In Casa Baja (Villa 2) you can deposit your rubbish in the wooden-lidded receptable near the car park. If your rubbish receptacle is full, please contact us and we will empty it for you.
What supermarkets are nearby?
Lidl, Carrefour and Mercado are all within 10km of Rancho Rustico. Please be advised that all supermarkets are closed on Sundays. Normal business hours are 9:00AM-9:30PM Monday through Saturday except holidays and festivals.
There is a weekly street market every Sunday from 10:00-14:00 at Estacion de Cartama. It is located off Avenida Andalucia, opposite the petrol station in Cartama Estacion. The market runs from June-December.
There is also an Organic Market of local ecological products which takes place on the first Sunday of every month from 10:00-14:30. It is located off Avenida Andalucia, opposite the petrol station in Cartama Estacion right next to the street market. The market runs from April-December.

What is the €60 cleaning fee for?
The €60 cleaning fee is for linen and towels ONLY and we ask that you leave Rancho Rustico in the same condition in which you received it (clean toilets, sinks, showers, mirrors, empty and clean refrigerators, clean counters, stovetops, ovens and outdoor grills, swept floors and all garbage put in bins, etc) however, if you do not wish to spend your last hours cleaning, we can provide a cleaning service for €10 per hour.
